Home arrest of director of Ukrainian Library in Moscow extended till August

The Russian prosecutors have prolonged home arrest to the director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature in Moscow, Natalia Sharina.

The lawyer of Sharina, Ivan Pavlov, wrote this on Facebook.

“The hose arrest of the director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature in Moscow, Natalia Sharina, was extended by another three months – till July 29. The Presnensky Court refused the right for short-term walks in the open air,” Pavlov wrote.

As reported, Natalia Sharina was detained on October 28, 2015 and charged with inciting extremism and ethnic hatred by carrying ‘extremist’ books in the library.
