Zelensky discusses ways to end war with Brazilian President Lula da Silva

The key topic of the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Brazilian President Lula da Silva on the sidelines of the G7 summit was how to end Russia’s war of aggression.

The Ukrainian head of state announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“I had a productive meeting at the G7 summit with Brazilian President Lula da Silva, primarily regarding ways to end Russia’s aggressive war. The president shared his thoughts on possible diplomatic approaches. I briefed him on Russian society’s true attitude toward the war, as well as on our diplomatic cooperation with the U.S. and other partners,” Zelensky said.

He also noted that he had agreed with the Brazilian president to maintain further contact.

As reported by Ukrinform, the G7 nations stated in a joint declaration issued following the summit in France that they had agreed to increase supplies of air defense systems and long-range weapons to Ukraine. The G7 leaders also pledged to intensify pressure on Russia’s military economy.
