Ukraine to send experts to Baltic states, Romania to share counter-drone experience – Zelensky
Ukraine is preparing teams of experts to travel to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Romania to share its experience in responding to drone threats, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He stated this at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Kyiv on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"For Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Romania as well – I believe we agreed on that – we will prepare experts. They are already being prepared. There are dates when our experts will arrive there and share their experience, just as we did in the Middle East. Their task is to help prevent future challenges, should they arise, including challenges related to drones that have been recorded in those countries," he said.
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine would assist its partners not only with expertise but also with interceptor technologies.
In March 2026, Ukraine announced that fully staffed Ukrainian teams specializing in protection against Shahed drones would travel to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia to help strengthen defenses against drone threats.
