Zelensky and Meloni discuss joint drone production

Italy is interested in jointly producing drones with Ukraine.

This was stated by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Ukrinform, citing ANSA.

“We discussed how to strengthen cooperation in the defense sector. Italy is very interested in developing joint production, especially in the drone sector, where Ukraine has become a leading country in recent years,” Meloni said.

She also emphasized the deep friendship between Italy and Ukraine.

“Instability is gradually becoming our new normal… But it is precisely in times like these that the friendship between brotherly nations, which have helped one another during the most difficult moments of their history, is of decisive importance,” she said.

Meloni expressed her conviction that in the coming years, friendship and cooperation between the countries will only grow stronger.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome on April 15.
