Defense and economy: Ukraine and Germany sign cooperation documents
Ukraine and Germany signed two cooperation agreements as part of intergovernmental consultations.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the documents between the defense and economic ministries were signed in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The document on cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was signed by the heads of the respective agencies, Boris Pistorius and Mykhailo Fedorov.
In addition, a declaration of intent on supporting industrial recovery and resilience was signed between the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine. The document was signed by Ukrainian minister Oleksii Soboliev and German minister Reem Alabali Radovan.
As reported, intergovernmental consultations are taking place in Berlin on Tuesday, alongside talks between Friedrich Merz and Volodymyr Zelensky.
