Zelensky: We propose mutually beneficial partnership, Middle East and Gulf offer opportunities to strengthen Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine's diplomatic team is actively working on cooperation with countries in the Middle East and the Gulf, which are interested in Ukraine's experience in defending against modern drones.
According to Ukrinform, he said this during his evening address on Telegram.
"Our diplomatic team is working actively, and in particular, we are engaging with countries in the Middle East and the Gulf, which now show a strong interest in Ukraine's experience, above all in defending against drones," he noted.
At the same time, Zelensky informed that not only "Shahed" drones are being used in the region, but increasingly FPV drones as well, and that modern warfare requires readiness and expertise that Ukraine can offer.
"Ukraine has this expertise, and in exchange for our support, we need corresponding help in areas where we face greater challenges. This includes protection against ballistic threats and financial resources for defense," he said.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of mutually beneficial partnerships and coordinated global actions to ensure real security, stressing that the Middle East and the Gulf open significant opportunities to strengthen Ukraine, especially in a situation where Europe is partially blocking support.
As Ukrinform reported, the escalation of the security situation in the Middle East has not led to a halt in humanitarian mediation by Gulf countries between Ukraine and Russia.
