Trump seeks to end war and restore trade with Ukraine and Russia – Vance

President Donald Trump seeks to end the Russian-Ukrainian war and restore trade relations between the United States and both Ukraine and Russia.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said this while speaking at an event in the state of North Carolina, Ukrinform reports.

"There has been a lot of debate about what exactly our foreign policy should be with regards to Russia and Ukraine. The President of the United States has been very clear. He wants the killing to stop, he wants to get back to commerce. He wants to stop innocent people who are losing their lives in this conflict," Vance said.

He noted that he fully shares this approach of the American leader.

"I happen to admire that. Of course, I think I'm biased, but I think that's the right idea," Vance emphasized, referring to the U.S. president’s position.

As Ukrinform previously reported, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed skepticism about the operation in Iran shortly before President Donald Trump’s decision to begin military action.
