Trump says U.S. does not need Ukraine’s help in drone defense
Donald Trump, President of the United States, has dismissed an offer from Ukraine to help the U.S. strengthen their defenses against attacks by Iran’s drones.
According to Ukrinform, Trump made the remarks in an interview with Fox News Radio.
Host Brian Kilmeade asked Trump whether Ukraine was helping the United States with drone defense.
“No, we don’t need their help in drone defense. We know about drones more than anybody. We have the best drones in the world, actually,” the U.S. President said.
As reported, a Ukrainian delegation, which included military officials and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, departed for the Gulf region on March 10 to help protect lives and stabilize the situation amid escalating tensions following Iran’s strikes.
President Zelensky also said that Ukraine had received six requests from the Middle Eastern countries for assistance in the conflict with Iran. At the same time, he expects the Ukrainian delegation to return from the Gulf region to determine the scale of assistance those countries require.
