Witkoff, Kushner meet Putin envoy in Florida
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner held talks on Wednesday with Russian representative Kirill Dmitriev.
Witkoff wrote about the meeting on the social network X, according to Ukrinform.
“Today (March 11 – ed.) in Florida, the Russian delegation led by Special Envoy Kirill Dmitriev met with the U.S. delegation,” Witkoff said.
It is worth noting the unusual order of wording – one would normally expect a U.S. representative to mention the American delegation first in his post and only then the Russian one.
In addition to Witkoff, the talks were attended by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and White House Senior Advisor Josh Gruenbaum.
“The teams discussed a variety of topics and agreed to stay in touch,” Trump’s Special Envoy added without providing any further details.
The previous similar meeting took place in Florida at the end of January.
As reported by Ukrinform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that due to developments in the Middle East, trilateral talks between the delegations of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia that were scheduled for this week have been postponed at the suggestion of the American side.
