Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with President of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany Julia Klöckner, visited one of the energy facilities in the Kyiv region that the Russian aggressor attacked.

According to Ukrinform, Stefanchuk reported this on Facebook.

"Together with President of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany Julia Klöckner we visited one of the energy facilities in the Kyiv region that was hit by Russian strikes. Not everything can be shown and told publicly. Russian terror is shocking in its cruelty, but Ukrainian resilience is incomparably stronger," the post says.

According to Stefanchuk, one example of such resilience is the titanic work of energy workers who are restoring the system under fire so that Ukrainian homes have electricity and heating.

The speaker of the Ukrainian parliament expressed his gratitude to Julia Klöckner for her concern and personal involvement in how Germany can further assist in protecting and restoring Ukraine's energy sector.

“We discussed strengthening air defense, supplying equipment, and long-term modernization projects,” he emphasized.

At the same time, Stefanchuk stated that Ukraine's energy stability is part of the security of all of Europe, “and today's visit clearly confirmed this.”

As reported by Ukrinform, German Bundestag President Julia Klöckner arrived in Kyiv for the first time.
