Polish Sejm adopts resolution in support of Ukraine
The lower house of the Polish parliament on Friday passed a resolution expressing solidarity with Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia's full-scale aggression.
A total of 419 lawmakers voted in favor of the document, one representative of the nationalist "Confederation" voted against it, and 15 deputies abstained, including members of "Confederation" and the "Confederation of the Polish Crown," Ukrinform's correspondent reported.
The resolution, initiated by the Presidium of the Sejm, strongly condemns Russia's illegal and unprovoked aggression directed against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on February 24 the UN General Assembly adopted the resolution "Advancing a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine," calling for an immediate ceasefire and reaffirming the need to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The European Parliament also adopted a resolution marking the fourth anniversary of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and addressing the European contribution to a just peace and sustainable security for Ukraine.
