Zelensky holds call with Witkoff, Kushner ahead of Geneva talks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone call with U.S. presidential envoys Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner ahead of the upcoming trilateral meetings in Geneva.
That is according to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"We count on the meetings being truly productive," Zelensky said.
The discussion also covered certain developments following the meetings in Abu Dhabi.
Since not everything can be shared over the phone, the Ukrainian negotiating team will present Ukraine's position next week.
In addition, Zelensky spoke about his meeting today with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
"We greatly appreciate that America consistently maintains a constructive approach and is ready to assist in protecting lives. I thank President Trump, his team, and the people of the United States for their support," Zelensky said.
