Zelensky: US proposes 15-year security guarantees, but Ukraine needs more than 20

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that the United States has proposed security guarantees for 15 years, but Ukraine needs guarantees lasting more than 20 years.

He made the remarks during a briefing in Munich on Saturday, Ukrinform reports.

"Today we met with senators. We very much want to extend the duration of security guarantees so that they are more effective for investors. We just had a meeting with investors and business representatives, and they need guarantees that last longer than five or ten years. Today, we have a proposal from the United States for 15 years. We want 20 or more years – 30, 50," Zelensky said.
