Fedorov to attend EU defense ministers' meeting in Brussels on February 11
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov will visit Brussels on February 11 for an informal exchange of views with EU member states' defense ministers during the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on defense issues.
According to Ukrinform, the EU Council's press service reported this.
“The next Foreign Affairs Council with defence ministers will take place in Brussels starting at 16.45 and be chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas,” the post reads.
The meeting will discuss EU military support for Ukraine, with a focus on defense innovation cooperation.
It is noted that the discussion will take place “after an informal exchange of views with the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, who will be present in person.”
After the Foreign Affairs Council meeting, during a working dinner, ministers will informally exchange views on the security and defense outlook for 2026, the press service added.
As reported, the defense ministers of NATO member states will meet in Brussels on February 12. On the same day, the Ukraine Defense Contact Group will hold a meeting, co-chaired by Germany and the United Kingdom.
