Another round of trilateral talks begins in Abu Dhabi – Umerov
Another round of trilateral meetings involving representatives of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia has begun in the United Arab Emirates.
According to Ukrinform, Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, announced this on Facebook.
"The negotiation process started in a trilateral format — Ukraine, the United States, and Russia. Next comes work in separate groups by specific tracks, after which a follow-up joint synchronization of positions is planned," Umerov said.
He added that the Ukrainian delegation is working within the clear directives of President Volodymyr Zelensky to achieve a dignified and lasting peace.
"We inform the Head of State about the progress of each stage of the negotiations," Umerov said.
Earlier reports said that President Volodymyr Zelensky had approved the framework of the discussions and specific tasks for the Ukrainian negotiating team ahead of the new round of trilateral meetings in the United Arab Emirates.
