Court starts appeal hearing on Tymoshenko's preventive measure

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court began considering appeals from both the defense team of MP Yulia Tymoshenko and the prosecution against the bail preventive measure of over UAH 33 million imposed earlier on Tymoshenko.

A Ukrinform correspondent reported this.

Tymoshenko herself is in the courtroom with her lawyers and the prosecution's representatives.

Outside the courtroom, there is a queue of dozens of people waiting to get into the trial.

Among those present in the building are MPs Olena Kondratiuk and Mykhailo Volynets, as well as others.

While people were being admitted to the courtroom, a dispute in the queue led to a minor scuffle between those waiting and security guards, during which some people made remarks about MPs not being allowed into the courtroom.
