Umerov: Third meeting with Americans in Paris held in two days
During consultations in Paris, the Ukrainian and American sides discussed in detail the key elements of the basic framework for ending the war.
This was reported by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Separately, the delegations focused on possible formats for further contacts at the leadership level with the participation of Ukraine, European partners, and the US.
The United States was represented in the negotiations by Special Representative of the President Steve Witkoff, Ambassador Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner, and White House staffer Josh Gruenbaum. This is the third meeting with the American side held in two days in Paris.
The Ukrainian delegation was represented by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Andriy Hnativ, Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov, First Deputy Head of the President's Office Serhiy Kyslytsya, Head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamia, and Presidential Office Advisor Oleksandr Bevz.
Following the meeting, the Ukrainian side is preparing a detailed report for President Volodymyr Zelensky.
As reported by Ukrinform, on January 7, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov said that the Ukrainian delegation in Paris is continuing peace talks. According to him, “there are already concrete results.”
