Zelensky discusses specific tasks and operations with SSU Major General Poklad

During a meeting with Major General Oleksandr Poklad of the Security Service of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that counterintelligence work at the Security Service of Ukraine has significantly intensified and that this area will continue to develop.

The President announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“We went over specific tasks and operations aimed at making the Russian occupiers feel even more of the strength of Ukraine’s Security Service,” Zelensky concluded after the meeting with Major General Poklad

He also stressed that the protection of Ukrainian statehood and counterintelligence work in the SSU have been significantly strengthened, and assured that this area will continue to develop.

As reported, Vasyl Maliuk announced today that he is stepping down as head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Following this, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Yevhenii Khmara, head of the Security Service of Ukraine's Special Operations Center “A,” as acting head of the SSU.

The head of the Security Service of Ukraine is appointed and dismissed by the Verkhovna Rada upon the President's recommendation.
