Russia shows its attitude toward peace talks - Zelensky on today's strike

Russia has demonstrated its attitude toward the peace initiatives of Ukraine and the U.S. by carrying out a massive attack on civilians.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today Russia demonstrated how it responds to peace negotiations between Ukraine and the United States aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine. They launched a massive attack on Ukraine. Precisely on the path toward peace talks, Russia is showing its response to this," Zelensky said.

According to him, support from European partners is currently crucial, particularly in terms of arms supplies.

"We lack additional air defense systems, and you can see this; they know it, we provide them with all the details. We need systematic supplies of systems and missiles. We need more missiles, because Russia is attacking more, with a larger number of drones and missiles," Zelensky emphasized.

As Ukrinform previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that on December 27 the Russians launched nearly 500 drones and about 40 missiles, including Kinzhal missiles. The main target was Kyiv, including energy and civilian infrastructure.
