Tusk responds to Nawrocki’s critical remarks about Ukraine
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stressed that today the “international game” is being played for Poland’s security and Ukraine’s independence, and that President of Poland Karol Nawrocki, “if he does not want to or cannot help, should at least refrain from interfering.”
Tusk wrote this on the social media X, Ukrinform reports.
“Today, the international game is being played for high stakes: the security of Poland and the independence of Ukraine. If the president does not want to or cannot help, then at least he should not interfere,” Tusk wrote.
As the agency reported, Nawrocki, in an interview with Wirtualna Polska, said that Poland has supported and will continue to support Ukraine because this is in its strategic interests. At the same time, Poland expects a partnership-based approach from Ukraine, as it does not want to be a “junior partner” in the relationship.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will participate today in a meeting of EU leaders in Berlin with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
