Zelensky, Macron to meet in Paris on Monday

French President Emmanuel Macron will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris on December 1 to discuss security guarantees and continue the talks initiated in Geneva concerning the U.S. peace plan.

This is stated in a press release from the Elysee Palace, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The two leaders "will discuss the situation and the conditions for a just and lasting peace, continuing the discussions in Geneva and the American plan, as well as close cooperation with their European partners," the document states. Security guarantees will also be on the agenda.

The visit follows the latest meeting of the Coalition of the Willing on November 25 and Zelensky's previous visit to France on November 17, 2025, when France and Ukraine signed several agreements to strengthen cooperation in the defense sector.
