Ukrainian, Philippine presidents discuss bilateral cooperation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Philippines Bongbong Marcos have discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries.
The Ukrainian leader shared details of their phone call on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
Zelensky expressed his condolences to Marcos over the lives lost and the destruction caused by the typhoons.
Zelensky also briefed him on Ukraine's joint work with the United States and other partners on the steps toward establishing a guaranteed peace.
Zelensky thanked the Philippines for supporting the peace efforts, for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for the clear stance.
The parties discussed areas of cooperation, including food security, agriculture, and digitalization.
"The Philippines is also interested in the expertise and technologies Ukraine can offer. We agreed that our teams will follow up on all these matters in the near future," Zelensky said.
