Umerov returns to Ukraine – Spokesperson for NSDC Secretary

Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, has returned to Ukraine following an official trip.

Spokesperson Diana Davitian, for Rustem Umerov, confirmed this to Ukrinform.

Ukrinform previously reported that Umerov was on a scheduled official trip. In particular, he visited the United States, where he held a series of working consultations and meetings aimed at strengthening international support for Ukraine, and also accompanied President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Türkiye.

As reported by Ukrinform, on November 17, the Center for Countering Disinformation under the NSDC stated that claims alleging that NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov had refused to return to Ukraine from abroad were untrue.

On November 19, the Verkhovna Rada summoned Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, to its plenary session.
