Zelensky, Erdogan to discuss just peace in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that on Wednesday, November 19, he plans to discuss with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan how to ensure that Ukraine achieves a just peace.
Zelensky said this during a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid on Tuesday, when asked about his upcoming trip to Turkey to initiate talks on U.S.-Russia dialogue and his expectations regarding the discussions, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Tomorrow I will have a meeting with President Erdogan. First and foremost, we will discuss the maximum opportunities to ensure that Ukraine achieves a just peace. I think it will be a fairly substantive conversation – it may be long, or not very long. We will see. I have a good relationship with the President of Turkey. We will talk. We have some positions and signals from the U.S. We'll see tomorrow," he said.
