Zelensky, Croatia’s Deputy Prime Minister discuss defense support, veterans policy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Croatia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić, during which they discussed the implementation of projects under the PURL initiative and Croatia’s experience in veteran policy.

The Ukrainian President reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform notes.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Croatian government and people for their support of Ukraine and for every military aid package, noting that “the 14th already allocated and the 15th planned by the end of the year

During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of implementing projects under the PURL initiative, particularly regarding air defense assets, and using the opportunities provided by the SAFE mechanism.

“A separate and highly relevant topic was veteran policy – an important issue for us. We are interested in Croatia’s experience in this area,” the President added.

As reported earlier by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed defense support for Ukraine, weapons production, and the strengthening of sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation with Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.
