Pastor Burns on Russian attack against Ukraine: This is life when your neighbor becomes a madman
Pastor Mark Burns, spiritual advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, called for unity in the wake of Russia's massive assault on Ukraine.
He reported this on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.
"Right now, Ukraine is under a relentless missile barrage. Putin's forces are sending drones. Kyiv is ablaze. Houses are burning. Explosions shake the streets. Air defenses are scrambling to protect innocent lives. This is life when your neighbor becomes a madman," Burns wrote.
He said he wondered "how will humanity pass this test this moment when evil is unleashed so openly?" "How do we rise strong enough to resist it and defeat it?"
"We will do it by standing on faith, not fear. By uniting across nations, not dividing over lines. By speaking truth when lies roar, and by loving those who are attacked," the pastor added.
On the night of September 27-28, Russia launched nearly 500 attack drones and more than 40 missiles, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, against Ukrainian cities. Four people were killed in Kyiv, and at least 40 were injured nationwide.
