Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier have discussed the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defenses and the joint development of defense industries.

In a post on his Facebook page, Shmyhal stressed that Germany is one of the leading countries in Europe in terms of supporting Ukraine in various sectors, including arms supplies.

Shmyhal said he thanked Germany for that during his meeting with Steinmeier.

An important topic of conversation was strengthening the protection of Ukrainian skies from Russian terror.

“We are grateful to Germany for preparing a EUR 1.4 billion winter aid package announced by Chancellor Olaf Scholz," the Prime Minister said.
