Ukraine's PM meets with Canadian ambassador

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has met with Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Larisa Galadza who is completing her work in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, Shmyhal reported this on Telegram.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Canada has been one of the first to provide Ukraine with the necessary support, including financial, military and sanctions support. I thanked for this leadership position during a meeting with Ms. Ambassador of Canada Larisa Galadza who is completing her work in Ukraine. We appreciate your personal contribution to the development of relations between our countries," Shmyhal said.

He noted that Ukraine is committed to strengthening economic cooperation with Canada and thanked for joint work on updating the bilateral free trade agreement. According to him, this will open up new opportunities for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

"We also count on the participation of Canadian entrepreneurs in the rebuilding of Ukraine, as this will become the largest business project in Europe in the 21st century. United in protection - united in recovery," Shmyhal said.

On July 20, Canada announced a new round of anti-Russian sanctions, introducing restrictive measures against 39 individuals and 25 legal entities.
