Ukraine's path to NATO will be shorter - Czech president

President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel called the decision of the Vilnius NATO summit on Ukraine's future membership a success and said that now Kyiv's path to the Alliance will be shorter.

Petr Pavel wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

The Czech president considers the decision of the NATO summit a success for Ukraine.

“We know the way. The unanimous agreement of 31 countries on the future of Ukraine in NATO is a success. Thanks to today's agreement, its path to membership will be shorter,” the report says.

As reported by Ukrinform, the NATO summit is being held in the capital of Lithuania on July 11-12. President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Vilnius on Tuesday.
