Ukraine, Moldova not only neighbors, but also reliable partners - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine and Moldova are not only neighbors, but also reliable partners.

Zelensky said this in a post on his Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.

"Moldova and Ukraine are not only neighbors, but also reliable partners. We continue to strengthen cooperation between our countries and counter the challenges posed by Russia together," Zelensky said.

Andriy Yermak, the head of Zelensky's office, in turn, said on Telegram that a meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and Maia Sandu of Moldova is taking place in Moldova.

"I am in Moldova together with President Volodymyr Zelensky and the team. We continue to strengthen cooperation between our countries and jointly counter challenges from Russia," Yermak said.

He added that he was also glad to see his "good friend, Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean".

"We exchanged opinions on cooperation and security challenges to our countries," Yermak said.

Earlier reports said that at a summit of the European Political Community in Moldova on Thursday, Zelensky would discuss a coalition of fighter jets and propose a coalition of Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine.
