Yermak, Rasmussen discuss issue of security guarantees for Ukraine

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone call with former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who is a co-coordinator of the International Expert Group to develop recommendations on security guarantees for Ukraine.

That’s according to the Ukrainian president’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the results of the G7 Summit held in Japan with the participation of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Special attention was paid to the issue of providing Ukraine with security guarantees that will be in effect until Ukraine becomes a NATO member. The International Expert Group set out its recommendations on the relevant guarantees in the draft Kyiv Security Compact.
