Von der Leyen, Shmyhal meet in London to discuss Ukraine’s restoration

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who is in London on the occasion of the coronation of King Charles III, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, to discuss further EU support for the embattled nation.

The president of the European Commission reported the meeting on Twitter.

“A very productive meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. We discussed the EU's support for Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction in view of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London in June. The EU remains steadfast in its commitment to help Ukraine rebuild the country,” von der Leyen tweeted.

As reported earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, who is in the United Kingdom together with Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska, has already held a number of important meetings in London on the eve of his participation in His Majesty Charles III’s coronation ceremony.
