Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with Baron John McFall, Lord Speaker of the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom on March 27.

As Stefanchuk posted on Facebook, he discussed in detail the strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation with his British colleague.

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada Chairman pointed out the Ukrainian initiatives that need support in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, in particular, the recognition of the Russian Federation as a terrorist state, the creation of a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the reconstruction of our state, and joining NATO.

Stefanchuk thanked the Lord Speaker of the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the initiative of holding the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference in London this June.

"Ukraine must win, and the Russian Federation must bear legal and financial responsibility for unprovoked aggression and the commission of war crimes," the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine summed up.

As reported, Stefanchuk is on an official visit to the UK on March 27-28.
