Biden, Macron discuss support for Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron in a phone call on March 7 discussed their support for Ukraine and challenges posed by China.

That's according to a readout of their call published on the White House's website, Ukrinform reports.

"The two leaders discussed their support for Ukraine as Russia's brutal invasion enters its second year, including their commitment to continue providing Ukraine with security assistance and imposing costs on Russia for its aggression," the readout said.

During the call, Biden and Macron also discussed the cooperation between the United States and France in the Indo-Pacific region as well as shared efforts to address challenges posed by the People's Republic of China to the rules-based international order.
