Shmyhal discusses arms supplies with Germany’s SPD leaders

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal of Ukraine on Monday held a meeting in Kyiv with the co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Lars Klingbeil, and leader of the Social Democratic faction in the Bundestag, Rolf Mützenich, to discuss weapon deliveries, energy recovery, and humanitarian demining.

That’s according to Shmyhal’s posting on Telegram, seen by Ukrinform.

He noted that Germany is Europe’s leader in terms of the amount of aid provided to Ukraine in all areas, and thanked co-chairmen Klingbeil and Mützenich for their solidarity.

"We discussed our needs and arms supplies to Ukraine. German weapons today are saving lives and paving the way to victory and peace. We also highly appreciate Germany's help in restoring our energy infrastructure and their readiness to provide support in humanitarian demining," the Head of Government wrote.
