Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed the issue of Russia's responsibility for its actions in Ukraine and the creation of a special tribunal to prosecute Russia for the crime of aggression with the parliamentary delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

"We discussed the issue of the Russian Federation's responsibility and the creation of a special tribunal to prosecute Russia for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. A topic of strengthening sanctions in sectors of special economic importance for Russia – energy, trade, and finance – was also raised," Stefanchuk posted on Facebook after this meeting.

According to him, the parties paid attention to the development of a compensation mechanism for transferring the seized Russian assets to Ukraine because it is Russia that must pay for all the destruction.

"And finally. Weapons. We need them for victory. Our priorities are air defense systems, fighter jets, long-range missiles, battle tanks, artillery, and ammunition," the Verkhovna Rada Chairman added.

He thanked the government and parliament of Great Britain for their leadership and comprehensive support for Ukraine.
