Zelensky calls on Caribbean Community countries to expand cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the leaders of the Caribbean Community countries at the 44th summit, outlining the principles of Ukraine’s Peace Formula and calling for the expansion of cooperation.

“I encourage you to cooperate! Next week we will present at the UN General Assembly a resolution on a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Ukraine, and hence the restoration of the full force of the international rules-based order. Your votes matter! Peace is a value that must be cared for together!” Zelensky said.

Zelensky emphasized that Russia has occupied 18% of the territory of Ukraine, bringing the rule of militarized gangs.

“109,045 square kilometers of human rights violations, looting, humiliation, and death. Death. This is the reason why we are fighting so hard to drive Russia out of our land. This is the reason why we are trying so hard to restore the power of international law. This is the reason why it was Ukraine that proposed the Peace Formula, which can end this war and restore everything destroyed by Russian aggression. Our Formula covers all aspects of damages: from damage to international law – to environmental harm,” he stressed.

Zelensky also noted that every state in the world – either big or small – should have the right to its independence and to respect for this independence. He thanked the leaders of the Caribbean Community for sharing the principles of law and striving to support stability in their region and the whole world in general.

The Caribbean Community is a unity of 20 countries of the region that cooperate in economic integration, coordination of foreign policy, social development, and security.
