Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk believes that the task of all democratic forces is to ensure that Russia's war against Ukraine ends with Russia's defeat.

"Today's task of all democratic forces is to ensure that Russia's war against Ukraine ends with Russia's defeat. Two days ago, Ukraine saw another missile attack, which led to a great tragedy in Dnipro. Therefore, the first and main task, which I pointed to, is to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities. Ukraine needs more weapons for the further successful liberation of our territories. We need additional air defense systems to protect the civilian population," Stefanchuk posted on Facebook after a meeting with incumbent OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani.

Stefanchuk also pointed to the sanctions pressure on Russia. Different versions of restrictions are not needed now. Ukraine calls for the imposition of sanctions that would deprive the aggressor state of funds to wage the war because the resources the Russian Federation receives from international trade are used for murder and unjust war.

"We also touched upon the implementation of the peace formula initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. I hope for the support and advocacy of its provisions that will help restore peace and protect the world from war," Stefanchuk added.
