VR calls on world to recognize Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as continuation of genocide

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is calling on the international community to recognize Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities as the eternal Russian policy of the genocide of the Ukrainian people.

The relevant Statement on Energy Terrorism of the Russian Federation was issued by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In this document, Parliament is calling on the civilized world to condemn Russia’s insidious attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure objects and acknowledge that systematic attacks on such facilities is a continuation of the Russian eternal policy of the genocide of the Ukrainian people.

According to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine expects partners to speed up the supply of modern anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems, which are required to protect Ukraine and the neighboring countries against Russian armed aggression.

Additionally, Parliament urged the international community to increase sanctions against Russia as a terrorist state and remove any opportunity for the aggressor state to avoid such restrictive measures.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also called for the establishment of special international tribunal to investigate Russian war crimes in Ukraine, as well as increased international efforts to implement funding mechanisms for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, namely at the expense of the Russian Federation, acting as an aggressor state.

In addition, Parliament urged partners to accelerate the supply of high-voltage equipment required to restore power supply services for critical infrastructure, hospitals, schools, kindergartens and residential houses, which had been de-energized after Russian attacks on energy infrastructure objects.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appealed to the democratic world to intensify efforts and free the European continent from Russia-provoked energy dependence.

Parliament expressed confidence that “Russian armed terror will not be able to break either Ukraine, or its friends and allies. Instead, our solidarity will become stronger, our Victory is steadily approaching, and evil will certainly be punished.”

A reminder that Russia is continuously launching massive terrorist attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
