Zelensky, Macron discuss Ukraine's energy security

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have discussed the situation at Ukraine's nuclear power plants and the state of the country's energy system.

Zelensky said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Had a call with Emmanuel Macron. Informed [him] about the situation on the battlefield and at Ukrainian nuclear plants. Stressed the need of demilitarization of ZNPP [Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant]," he wrote.

Zelensky noted that during the call, both parties also discussed cooperation on ensuring Ukraine's energy stability, in particular, protecting the system from air attacks.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has carried out 126 attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
