Ukraine's parliamentary delegation leaves for 43rd ASEAN General Assembly in Cambodia

A delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has left for the 43rd General Assembly of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and then plans to make a parliamentary visit to Seoul, South Korea.

Oleksandr Korniyenko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform.

"We are going with a delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the 43rd ASEAN General Assembly in Cambodia, and then with a parliamentary visit to Seoul in South Korea," he said.

Korniyenko noted that many bilateral meetings are being planned as part of the visits. According to him, the purpose of the visits is to explain, present arguments and convince countries to support Ukraine both at the international level and within all initiatives, including the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

In addition, he said that the parliamentary delegation would report to Asian colleagues that "Russia should end this war as soon as possible, leave our territory, compensate for damages and stop trampling on international law."
