Secretary General of the Council of Europe condemns Russian strikes on Ukraine, Poland: We need peace

Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić has condemned Russian missile strikes, which hit Ukraine and Poland, and stressed that the bloodshed must immediately end.

The relevant statement was made by Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I condemn in the strongest possible terms the indiscriminate missiles strikes which hit Ukraine & Poland. On behalf of the Council of Europe, I express my condolences & full support to both countries. The bloodshed must immediately end. We need peace & security to return to our continent,” Pejčinović Burić wrote.

A reminder that, on November 15, 2022, Russia launched another massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. The enemy continues deliberate attempts to destroy the country’s critical infrastructure facilities.

In Poland, explosions were recorded within Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship. Two people were reported killed. This incident is under investigation.

According to the foreign mass media, referring to intelligence sources, two Russian missiles crossed into Poland not far from the border with Ukraine.
