In a phone call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky briefed UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the consequences of a new series of Russian missile strikes.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Held talks with UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Confirmed Ukraine’s commitment to the Grain Deal. We’re ready to remain a guarantor of the global food safety. Informed about the consequences of the missile terror & nuclear blackmail by the RF,” Zelensky wrote.

The reaction of the world and the UN to Russia’s actions must be tough, the President of Ukraine stressed.

A reminder that, in the morning of October 31, 2022, Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine’s territory. A number of infrastructure objects were damaged, most of them – energy infrastructure facilities.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russians fired 55 air-launched guided missiles at Ukraine’s territory. Forty-five of them were shot down by Ukrainian defenders.
