Kuleba, IAEA chief hold talks in bomb shelter in Kyiv

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi held talks in a bomb shelter in Kyiv.

The Ukrainian minister wrote this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

“Met with Rafael Grossi in a bomb shelter in Kyiv while Russian terrorists kept firing missiles at Ukraine. I reiterated that Russia must withdraw from the ZNPP to ensure its nuclear safety and security, immediately stop abductions and intimidation of the Ukrainian personnel,” Kuleba wrote.

As reported, the Russian military captured the Zaporizhzhia NPP, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, on March 4. Since then, the invaders have placed military equipment and ammunition in the plant’s territory, shelling the plant and its surrounding area, destroying power lines, causing power units to shut down, and blaming the Armed Forces of Ukraine for that.

IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, and will meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky later this week.
