Verkhovna Rada Chair Ruslan Stefanchuk and President of French National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet discussed sanctions against Russia, military and financial support and reconstruction of Ukraine.

Stefanchuk thanked Braun-Pivet for the opportunity of direct dialogue and communication between parliamentarians.

"On October 3, the autumn session of the National Assembly starts, which will open precisely with a discussion on Ukraine. It is important. The issue of designating Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism is also important for our interparliamentary dialogue," the Verkhovna Rada Chair said.

In addition, he "pointed out the joint efforts to create a tribunal to investigate crimes committed by Russia and to develop mechanisms for compensating Ukraine for the damages caused by the aggressor."
