Czech Republic calls for immediate special tribunal for Russian war criminals

Czech Foreign Affairs Minister Jan Lipavský has called for the immediate establishment of a special international tribunal to punish the Russian Federation for the war crimes committed in Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by Czech Foreign Affairs Minister Jan Lipavský on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Lipavský, Russia left behind mass graves of hundreds of shot and tortured people in the Izium area. In the 21st century, such attacks against civilians are “unthinkable and abhorrent”, Lipavský stressed.

“We must not overlook it. We stand for the punishment of all war criminals. I call for the speedy establishment of a special international tribunal that will prosecute the crime of aggression,” Lipavský noted.

A reminder that, according to the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry, the number of Ukrainian civilians killed by Russian troops in the Kharkiv region may be significantly higher than that in the Kyiv region’s Bucha.
