Kuleba informs Lithuanian, Irish FMs about security guarantees for Ukraine

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba informed Foreign Ministers of Lithuania and Ireland, Gabrielius Landsbergis and Simon Coveney, about the concept of security guarantees for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian minister said this at a joint press conference in Odesa, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Gabrielius and Simon became the first foreign ministers whom I informed in detail about the concept of security guarantees for Ukraine presented yesterday in Kyiv by the Yermak-Rasmussen group,” Kuleba said.

He also stressed that he will continue to advocate the Kyiv Security Compact, and he counts on the support of Ukraine's closest friends in its efforts to guarantee its own security in the period until Ukraine becomes a member of NATO.

As reported, on September 13, the Office of the President of Ukraine presented the concept of security guarantees for Ukraine. The recommendations provide for the creation of the Kyiv Security Compact, which should unite Ukraine and a group of guarantor states.
