No one’s buying Russia's “negotiation” trick anymore - Kuleba

Russia is ready to negotiate only if Ukraine bows down to the Kremlin’s ultimatum, which means that any serious negotiations with Russia are off the table at the moment. No one buys this trick anymore.

This was stated by Dmytro Kuleba, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports

"As for negotiations, they cannot be ruled out as such, but even when Russia returns to negotiating rhetoric, they always add that they are ready to run talks solely on Ukraine's compliance with Russia's ultimatum," the top diplomat said.

"This means that we are not talking about any serious negotiations with Russia. They are not seeking them. They just make these statements in order to show how constructive they are, but no one buys this trick anymore," Kuleba added.

According to the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, everyone has already learned that it is impossible to exert pressure on Ukraine.

As reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that any negotiations with the Russian Federation would be possible only after Russian forces completely withdraw from the Ukrainian territories they have captured.
