Zelensky thanks American people and Biden for new security aid package

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed gratitude to the American people and United States President Joe Biden for allocating a new security aid package worth $1 billion.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I'm grateful to the people of the United States and United States President Joe Biden personally for allocating another unprecedented security aid package of $1 billion to Ukraine. Every dollar of such aid is a step towards defeating the aggressor. We’ll always remember leadership support of the United States at a time when it’s most needed!” Zelensky wrote.

A reminder that, on August 8, 2022, the U.S. government announced the allocation of $1 billion in new security assistance for Ukraine, including additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 155-mm and 120-mm artillery ammunition, munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS), other weapons and equipment.
