King of Belgium: We will continue to support people of Ukraine

Belgium will continue to support the people of Ukraine who defend democracy and European values, opposing large-scale Russian aggression.

“Ukrainians are fighting and dying to rescue their country and the democratic values we share. We will not allow blackmail by a nuclear power that wants to wreck our solidarity with Ukraine to divide us. We will continue to support the people of Ukraine,” Philippe, King of Belgium, stated on the eve of the Belgian National Day to be celebrated on July 21.

As noted, many countries around the world are suffering because of the war unleashed by Russia. At the same time, the King of Belgium underscored the importance to preserve unity in this difficult time.

During the monarch's speech, photos showing him and his wife meeting with Ukrainian refugees in Belgium were shown.
